You'll recognise the 370Z as a new breed of sportscar even before you climb in. Leave the Intelligent Key in your pocket; just push the button on the door handle to open it. Settle into the stylish leather sports seats and press the engine start button to hear the vigorous burble of the 3.7 litre engine coming to life. Adjust the 4-way power driver and passenger seats to get yourself comfortable and turn on the heated seats if necessary. Not sure where you're headed? Simply use the touchscreen to call up the DVD Satellite Navigation. Take a call with the Bluetooth® handsfree phone integration - the controls are conveniently on the steering wheel; or fire up the BOSE® audio system, which will fill the cabin through 8 speakers including 2 subwoofers. 6 CDs not enough? Plug in your MP3 player for your own personal touch.

Your 370Z driving experience is just the push of a button away with the innovative push button engine start function.

Satellite Navigation

The 370Z features DVD Satellite Navigation with 3D mapping and 7" integrated colour display. This allows you to set your destination and be directed via the best path. This system also features the convenience of a touch screen and steering wheel mounted controls.

Bluetooth®

Controlled from the steering wheel controls, Bluetooth® handsfree phone system allows your mobile phone to be connected to the 370Z via a Bluetooth® connection. When a call comes in, the audio is muted and a call can be answered and ended via the steering wheel controls. Numbers can be pre-programmed into the system as well, which is again controlled via the steering wheel.

BOSE® audio system

The 370Z features one of the top brands in audio, BOSE®, which adds a further touch of class to the interior. The BOSE® audio system will fill the cabin through 8 speakers including 2 subwoofers.

Subwoofers

It is the little things that add up to make the 370Z a fantastic vehicle, take the rear subwoofer for example, it has been built specifically for the 370Z to fit into the compartment of the spare wheel in the rear of the vehicle.

6 CD auto-changer

370Z features a 6 CD in-dash auto-changer with AMFM radio and MP3WMA capability.

Video input jack

6 CD's not enough? Connect your MP3 player to the 370Z via the input located in the centre console and enjoy your choice of music. You can also connect an AV device via this connection and it will display on the centre console screen when the car is not moving.

Electric seats

For maximum comfort, the 370Z features 4-way driver's electric seat adjustment, including manual lumbar adjustment and 4-way height adjustment. The passenger seat also features 4-way electric adjustment.

Heated seats

The driver and front passenger seats can be heated when required.

Climate control air

Pre-set your desired climate in the 370Z for unfailing comfort. The automatic fans and vents adjust to meet your set temperature.

Sports steering wheel

Illuminated dials

Stylishly illuminated dials light up when you push the start button for better visibility of the dials when driving.

Steering wheel controls

Steering wheel mounted controls for audio, cruise control and Satellite Navigation mean your hands never need to leave the steering wheel. The Bluetooth® controls are also included within the steering wheel, so when a call comes in, or you want to make an outgoing call, your hands again, don't need to leave the steering wheel.

Gauge cluster

The gauge cluster displays a digital clock, voltmeter and oil temperature and is angled directly at the driver for added driver comfort.

Drive computer

The drive computer in the 370Z features average speed, timer, distance to empty, average and current fuel consumption and outside temperature.

Storage space

The 370Z features generous storage space behind the seats and a fold out storage pocket behind the driver's seat, handy for maps and other documents. The rear cargo area has enough space for a golf bag and the tie-down hooks keep your rear cargo secure.

Perfect proportions

The all new 370Z's aggressive stance is the result of taking what we've learnt from the Nissan 350Z (no slouch in itself) and refining it. So we've made it shorter, we've made it wider, and through the increased use of lightweight materials, we've made it lighter. That alone would have been enough to improve driving dynamics, handling and performance, but why stop there? We've also increased the power. All of which results in a perfectly proportioned sportscar, offering a driving experience that will leave you open-mouthed and the competition grinding their teeth.

Power convertible soft-top

The new 370Z Roadster may be roofless but it is just as ruthless. The new Roadster goes one step further than the 370Z Coupe with the opportunity to enjoy the exhilaration of open air driving. With the touch of a button, the roof stores itself in less than 20 seconds. To ensure that you will be driving like the wind and not against it, the car also features a tempered glass wind deflector to minimise cabin noise and turbulence.

Headlight design

Probably the most striking element of the 370Z's all new design is the front and rear "boomerang" style light designs, which gives the vehicle a subtle aggressiveness.

Z badge indicator lights

An understated reminder that this is no ordinary car is found on the side indicator lights, which feature the latest iteration of the iconic Z badge.

18" alloy wheels

Beneath this body, carefully crafted to cut through the air, is a raging heart.

3.7 litre V6 engine

It's the VQ37VHR 3.7 litre V6 - an engine with power and torque to spare. This is the latest generation of Nissan's celebrated VQ series - the most awarded V6 engine series in history. The Nissan 370Z engine is well prepared for any driver willing to take it on, with a formidable 245kW of power and 363Nm of torque.

Shorter, Wider, Lighter

The 370Z's wheelbase is nearly 100mm shorter than the previous Z, accomplished by moving the rear wheels forward, while overall length is reduced by 69mm. At the same time, the overall width has been increased by 33mm, the rear track by 56mm and overall height reduced by 7.6mm, giving the 370Z a much more aggressive stance. The more compact exterior dimensions and expanded use of lightweight alloy materials help reduce weight. For the first time, the 370Z features aluminium door panels, along with an all-aluminium bonnet (the previous aluminium bonnet design utilised steel reinforcements) and an aluminium boot. Overall, the 370Z is shorter, wider and lighter, add to this more power and you have a perfectly proportioned sports car.

SynchroRev Match

This technology automatically controls and adjusts engine speed when changing gears, essentially altering the throttle as the shift occurs to match the exact engine speed of the next gear position. A feature on both manual and automatic transmission - a world first on the manual transmission for a production vehicle. Not only does SynchroRev Matching allow you to focus more on braking and steering, but it improves the vehicle's balance and smoothness by reducing the shock that can be experienced when the clutch is engaged. Naturally, the system can be deactivated on the manual at the press of a button for drivers who prefer less vehicle intervention.

6-speed manual

When it comes to controlling all this power, the Nissan 370Z gives you a choice. A 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic with Manual Mode (M-Mode).

7-speed automatic

The 7-speed automatic features several exciting technologies including the benefit of SynchroRev Match to smooth out gear changes. In addition, by selecting M-Mode, you can take full control and drive the car like a manual. There are also paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel for manual shifting. No matter which transmission style you choose, you'll enjoy razor-sharp responsiveness as you guide your 370Z through that right-hander.

Paddle shifters

The automatic transmission allows you the luxury of taking full control of your gear changes without lifting your hands off the steering wheel with the paddle shifters.

Premium Braking System

Naturally, with 245kW of power to harness, we've created the Nissan Premium Braking System to help keep you in total control. The front and rear power assisted ventilated disc brakes are massive - 355mm rotors at the front and 350mm at the rear. This provides improved overall brake feel and better fade resistance.

New platform

This car is built on a new platform that improves handling, ride comfort, Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH), suspension and overall safety. All elements of design, construction and technology work in harmony to deliver an extraordinary driving experience.

New suspension

The new double wishbone multi-link front suspension and independent multi-link aluminium-alloy rear suspension will have you gliding effortlessly around curves.

VVEL

The 370Z features Variable Valve Event and Lift on intake Valves (VVEL), which uses valve lift control as well as throttle opening to control the level of atmospheric pressure in the engine intake. This gives better throttle response and cleaner emissions than possible with a conventional intake.

Power steering

The 370Z's speed sensitive power steering changes the feel of the steering dependent on your speed; a more direct, confident experience when driving at high speed, and a lighter, undemanding touch for easy manoeuvrability when parking.

Rear Differential

As you apply pressure to the accelerator coming out of a corner, the Viscous Limited Slip Differential (VLSD) will ensure the rear wheels use the power wisely. You'll also find that it improves off-the-mark acceleration and helps the vehicle maintain composure and directional stability during hard cornering.

DOHC

A double overhead cam is characterised by two camshafts located within the cylinder head, one operating the inlet valves and one operating the exhaust valves.

The Nissan 370Z Coupe and Roadster feature advanced Active and Passive Safety technologies to help prevent collisions and protect you and your passenger should one occur.

vehicle Dynamic Control

vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), also known as Electronic Stability Program, is an advanced standard safety feature, which helps you remain in control of your vehicle during critical situations to avoid serious accidents. The VDC system achieves this by comparing the actions of the driver with the momentary vehicle behaviour and controls the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control Systems (TCS) accordingly, to initiate the appropriate corrective action by selectively braking individual wheels and controlling engine power. This stabilises the vehicle and keeps it on its intended path.

Traction Control System

The Traction Control System (TCS) limits tyre slip for safer driving. When the system senses one wheel is spinning faster than the others, it automatically reduces engine power and pumps that wheel's brake to reduce speed and lessen slip.

Anti-lock Braking System

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you retain directional control whilst braking. It optimises braking performance by sensing wheel lock and sending a signal to the braking system to release the locked wheel. As the wheel unlocks, it can be steered. The system individually applies and releases the brakes to help provide optimum stopping and control under extreme braking situations.

Brake Assist

In emergency braking situations, Brake Assist (BA) generates extra pressure on the braking system. Brake Assist and ABS work together to give optimum control by preventing wheel lockage when braking.

Brakeforce Distribution

Senses the load condition of both passengers and luggage to optimise rear brakeforce and control front and rear brake distribution. This enables safer driving, whether on your own or while carrying a full load of passengers or cargo.

Dual front airbags

Reduces the risk of facial and upper body injuries to the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision. The airbags are designed to remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection.

Dual side airbags

Side airbags are deployed in the event of a side impact to protect the driver and passenger.

Dual curtain airbags

Furthermore, roof mounted curtain side impact supplemental airbags add further head protection for occupants in the event of a side impact. In the Coupe they deploy from the roof and in the Roadster they are door mounted and deploy upward from the door.

Pop-up engine hood

The "pop-up engine hood" technology, a new safety technology developed by Nissan Motor Company Ltd., has been incorporated into the 370Z with the aim of reducing head impact injuries in the event of a pedestrian collision. The concept of the pop-up hood is based on a very simple principle: to help minimise serious head injury by creating more space to avoid collision with hard objects. In the case of a car-pedestrian collision, the engine hood is designed to pop-up instantly to help create a protective buffer space between the hood and the engine components underneath. Upon impact with a pedestrian and based on the severity of that impact, a sensor incorporated in the bumper activates the pop-up control-unit, which in turn will trigger an explosive actuator that raises the hood em(vehicle shown in video is for display purposes only).

Seatbelt pretensioners

The seatbelts include a pretensioner and load limiter. The pretensioner uses sensors to determine the severity of a potential crash and instantly tightens accordingly. Should additional force be exerted on the seatbelt, the load limiter ensures appropriate give so as to reduce any damaging pressure on the torso of occupants.

Active head restraints

Provide additional neck protection for passengers against serious injury from the effects of whiplash in the event of a rear collision.

Reinforced body structure

370Z's bodywork is made from high strength aluminium and steel for an exceptionally tough outer shell and maximum peace of mind.

Crumple zones

The new vehicle platform provides improved front and rear crumple zones for added safety in the event of a collision. The energy-absorbing interior steering column compresses during frontal impacts to improve occupant safety significantly.

Side intrusion bars

Robust door reinforcements and an anti-intrusion door structure mean impact energy is distributed to the body side structures in the event of an accident.

6-speed manual

The all new 370Z features a single grade with some very impressive levels of specification. A 3.7 litre VQ37VHR V6 engine sits beneath the bonnet, which pumps out 245kW of power and 363Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Z ever. The manual transmission features a 6-speed gearbox and a world first technology on a manual production vehicle called SynchroRev Match technology. Performance is further enhanced by a Nissan Premium Braking System, which feature massive 350mm front rotors, an all new vehicle platform, a new suspension setup, speed sensitive power steering, a Viscous Limited Slip Rear Differential (VLSD) and Variable Valve Event and Lift on intake Valves (VVEL). Overall performance is enhanced by a shorter, wider and lighter body. The stunning exterior design is characterised by flowing curves, pronounced rear wheel arches and stunning new headlight and taillight designs. Step into the interior of the 370Z and you will find a cabin that will delight, from the sports leather seats with non-slip cloth insert to the leather bound sports steering wheel and innovative push button start function. The 370Z also features a brand new technology called pop-up engine hood for pedestrian protection.

7-speed automatic

The all new 370Z automatic includes all the features of the manual model shown above, but features a 7-speed automatic, which includes Manual Mode (M-Mode) as well as steering wheel mounted paddle shifters to control gear changes. The 370Z automatic also features SynchroRev Matching technology.
