Interior

Commanding driving position and sporty hatch design.

Climb inside the Nissan DUALIS and settle comfortably into the sculpted, bolstered seats. Immediately you'll notice that the high driving position makes you feel more in control - you can see further in every direction. Before you take off, glance across the driver-focused cockpit. Stylish gauges and information systems keep you fully informed, while the DUALIS' many systems are right at your fingertips.

Sculpted front seats

You'll feel the seats are tailored just for you, with a height-adjustable driver's seat and sculpted front seats with side bolsters. With room for up to five people, the DUALIS is as convenient as it is stylish (Ti AWD interior shown).

Leather interior

The DUALIS Ti features black leather seats with stitching detail, as well as the added luxurious benefit of heated front seats. The Ti also features a leather covered front centre console armrest with sliding function as well as a leather rear seat centre armrest with integrated cup holders.

Bluetooth®

All DUALIS models feature Bluetooth® handsfree phone system, which allows your mobile phone to be connected to your DUALIS via a Bluetooth® connection. When a call comes in, the audio is muted and a call can be answered and ended via the push of a button. For added convenience, the DUALIS Ti features steering wheel controls, so you can answer and end calls via the touch of a button on the steering wheel (Ti interior shown).

Large boot capacity

The DUALIS has a large amount of boot space making it ideal for escaping town on weekends or carrying bulky sporting equipment. With 6040 split fold rear seats even more space and versatility is at your fingertips when needed (Ti interior shown with parcel shelf removed).

SUV ride height

When riding inside the DUALIS, you're sitting up high, as you would in an SUV, resulting in extra visibility.

6 CD in-dash auto-changer

The DUALIS ST features a single CD player with AMFM radio and four speakers as well as steering wheel controls. Move up to the DUALIS Ti and you will get a 6 CD in-dash auto-changer with AMFM radio with six speakers.

Large cooled glovebox

The 14 litre lit glovebox can store up to 15 cans of drink and is cooled when the vehicle's air conditioning is turned on. The glovebox also features a handy, interior sunglasses holder - so you can keep your glasses or other precious items safe.

Steering Wheel Controls

All DUALIS models offer the convenience and safety of audio, Bluetooth® phone and cruise control buttons that a located on the steering wheel. These controls allow you to adjust your audio settings, answer phone calls, and setcancel your cruise control speeds without taking your hands off the steering wheel. The steering also features an information button that controls the drive computer giving you real time data on your trip (Ti interior shown).

Heated front seats

Individual driver and front passenger seats on the DUALIS Ti can be heated when required (Ti AWD interior shown).

Storage

The DUALIS features front and rear door pockets with integrated bottle holders, as well as a centre storage console with room for 8 CDs. The Ti also features a front passenger under seat storage drawer for keeping your valuables away from prying eyes.br

Panoramic Glass Roof

This expansive fixed tinted glass roof allows light to pour into the car, enhancing the sense of interior space and providing unrestricted views sky during the day or stars at night. Naturally, if you want to block out some light, a full block-out power shade will slide across at the push of a button.

Adjustable steering column

Adjust the steering wheel to suit your particular level of comfort, including the ability to adjust up and down, as well as in and out, telescopically, making the drive much more comfortable and enjoyable (Ti interior shown).

Backlit instrument display

The backlit instrument display means the dash is permanently backlit for the driver, providing easy comprehension at any time of the day. A digital combination meter display is also featured with fuel gauge, clock and outside temperature display (Ti interior shown).

Drive computer

All DUALIS feature the benefit of a drive computer with steering wheel mounted controls including providing you real time average fuel economy, estimated distance to empty, elapsed time and distance travelled.

Air Conditioning

The DUALIS's air conditioning provides occupants with a comfortable driving environment no matter what the weather is doing outside, whilst the Ti model features the added luxury of dual zone automatic climate control allowing both front passengers to set their own respective air conditioning settings (Ti interior shown).

Cruise control

Set your desired speed and let the steering wheel mounted cruise control take care of it, keeping you at a constant speed. Of course you can slightly accelerate or decelerate at the touch of a button.

Sporty Style and About-Town Hatchback Convenience.

As you'll discover, the Nissan DUALIS isn't like any other car, so it's no surprise that it doesn't look like any other car. Yes it is a hatch, but it also takes inspiration from SUVs. The styling is sleek and contemporary, and features a sporty, aerodynamic lines with dynamic looking alloy wheels. There's never been a car quite like the DUALIS - and it's not afraid to show it.

Auto sensing headlights

Headlights automatically turn on for dusknight time driving or while driving through tunnels and are off at other times when not required.

Rain sensing wipers

Rain sensing automatic front wipers on the Ti automatically turn on when rain begins and the speed of the wipers is moderated by the level of rain hitting the front windscreen. This provides added convenience and safety. The sensitivity of the wiper system can be adjusted by rotating the wiper control on the steering column.

Intelligent wipers

Pull the wiper lever towards you for a few seconds and the wipers will automatically clear the windscreen with several wipes. Pull the lever away from you and the wipers will do the same for the rear window. Furthermore, the rear wiper automatically starts when reverse is selected giving one swipe of the rear window to ensure visibility is maximised when the front wipers are on.

Privacy Glass

Privacy glass on the rear window and side windows (excluding driver and passenger windows) is a dark tinted glass that keeps out the sun's rays on those hot days, as well as prying eyes from seeing your rear seat and cargo area.

16" alloy wheels

Standard on the ST grade, these stylish new 16" alloy wheels add a touch sportiness and sophistication. All models come with the convenience and safety benefits of a full size steel spare wheel.

18" alloy wheels

Standard on the Ti grade, these striking all new 18" alloy wheels give the DUALIS a distinctive and sporty look that is sure to set it apart from the traditional hatchback. All models come with the convenience and safety benefits of a full size steel spare wheel.

Intelligent Key

The convenience of the Intelligent Key means you can leave the key in your pocket or bag; simply push a button on the door handle to unlock or lock the car. Additionally, once in the driver's seat you can start and stop the car without the use of a key by simply turning the ignition barrel.

Lighting system

The intelligent light system helps light your way after you have left the vehicle. With the ignition set to lock, you simply pull the headlight lever toward you and the headlights will stay on for 30 seconds. You can then lock and leave the vehicle. Pulling the headlight lever towards you repeatedly will increase the time the lights stay on for up to a maximum of 2 minutes.

Front fog lights

Help cut glare and illuminate the road in fog or mist, improving safety during these types of driving conditions.

Roof Rails

Roof rails on the Ti AWD model increase the versatility of this urban hatch to accommodate a variety of roof mounted accessories and also gives it that tough SUV look.

Under the bonnet, Nissan's lightweight all aluminium 2.0 litre petrol engine delivers plenty of power, excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions that comply with Euro 4 emission standards. DUALIS' agile handling and efficient, powerful engine make it ideal for city driving.br

The DUALIS' all aluminium engine delivers an impressive 102kW of power and 198Nm of torque.

6-speed manual

DUALIS features a 6-speed manual transmission as standard (Overseas model shown).

Xtronic CVT transmission

The DUALIS's Xtronic Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) is a computer controlled 'stepless' transmission providing a virtually limitless number of ratios, ensuring the engine is always working as efficiently as possible. It's more comfortable, too: a long uphill drive in a conventional automatic will invariably be accompanied by regular down shifts as the engine hunts for power. With CVT, the engine revs stay constant as the transmission itself adjusts seamlessly to ensure momentum is maintained. For a more sporty drive, the CVT system has Manual Mode (M-Mode), which is operated via the central gear stick, 6 set ratios can be accessed manually by nudging the lever forward or back.

DOHC

A double overhead cam is characterised by two camshafts located within the cylinder head, one operating the inlet valves and one operating the exhaust valves.

ALL MODE 4x4 system

Enables you to switch from 2WD to 4WD Lock Mode while driving. In 2WD Mode, the system is permanently set in front wheel drive - ideal for fine weather on road use and delivers maximum fuel efficiency. In 4WD Lock Mode, the system switches to permanent 4WD, with a drive split 50:50 to the front and rear. In Auto Mode, the sensors link to the engine's ECU with the 4WD and ABS controller constantly monitoring wheel slippage and automatically compensating for unexpected slippery conditions such as ice, loose gravel, wet patches, dirt etc.

Fuel economy

The DUALIS Ti AWD has a rated fuel consumption of 8.3* litres per 100km for the 6-speed manual and 8.4* litres per 100km for the Xtronic CVT transmission. The new DUALIS Hatch has a rated fuel consumption of just 8.1* litres per 100km for the 6-speed manual and 8.2* litres per 100km for the Xtronic CVT transmission (*figures calculated in accordance with ADR 8102. Actual fuel consumption will vary depending on driving conditions, driving behaviour, the condition of your vehicle and the accessories fitted).

Vehicle Dynamic Control

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), also known as Electronic Stability Program, is an advanced safety feature, which helps you remain in control of your vehicle during critical situations to avoid serious accidents. The VDC system achieves this by comparing the actions of the driver with the momentary vehicle behaviour and controls the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control Systems (TCS) accordingly, to initiate the appropriate corrective action by selectively braking individual wheels and controlling engine power. This stabilises the vehicle and keeps it on its intended path.

Dual front airbags

Reduces the risk of facial and upper body injuries to the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision. The airbags are designed to remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection.

Dual side airbags

Side airbags are deployed in the event of a side impact to protect the driver and passenger.br

Dual curtain airbags

Furthermore, roof mounted curtain side impact supplemental airbags drop down in the event of a side impact for added head protection.

Traction Control System

The Traction Control System (TCS) limits tyre slip for safer driving. When the system senses one wheel is spinning faster than the others, it automatically reduces engine power and pumps that wheel's brake to reduce speed and lessen slip.

Anti-lock Braking System

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you retain directional control whilst braking. It optimises braking performance by sensing wheel lock and sending a signal to the braking system to release the locked wheel. As the wheel unlocks, it can be steered. The system individually applies and releases the brakes to help provide optimum stopping and control under extreme braking situations.

Brake Assist

In emergency braking situations, Brake Assist (BA) generates extra pressure on the braking system. Brake Assist and ABS work together to give optimum control by preventing wheel lockage when braking.

Brakeforce Distribution

Senses the load condition of both passengers and luggage to optimise rear brakeforce and control front and rear brake distribution. This enables safer driving, whether on your own or while carrying a full load of passengers or cargo.br

Active head restraints

Provide additional neck protection for front seat passengers against serious injury from the effects of whiplash in the event of a rear collision.

Seatbelt pretensioners

The front seatbelts include a pretensioner and load limiter. The pretensioner uses sensors to determine the severity of a potential crash and instantly tightens accordingly. Should additional force be exerted on the seatbelt, the load limiter ensures appropriate give so as to reduce any damaging pressure on the torso of front seat occupants.

Halogen headlights

Provide brilliant, sharp illumination for night driving, improving safety. Furthermore, light beam height can be adjusted via a switch in the cabin.

Four disc brakes

Heat is dissipated more rapidly to improve braking action, promote less brake fade and enhance brake life.

Crumple zones

The front of the DUALIS features a crumple zone, which helps absorb impacts. The energy-absorbing interior steering column compresses during frontal impacts to improve occupant safety significantly. The rear, inbuilt crumple zone furthermore helps absorb impact and reduce the risk of injury.

Side intrusion bars

Robust door reinforcements and an anti-intrusion door structure mean impact energy is distributed to the body side structures in the event of an accident.

Child safety

Three child seat anchorage points add greater seating flexibility, depending on your particular needs. Child safety rear door locks also prevent children from accidentally opening the rear doors.
