The Nissan Maxima is your sanctuary. A vehicle with creature comforts and innovative features designed to make driving a pleasure no matter what's happening outside.

Leather seats

Slide in and settle into the double stitched leather seats that come standard on all Maxima models. Luxurious, yes, but just as importantly, there's an assuredness in the way it supports you that imparts confidence as well as comfort.

Push button start

The push of a button is all that is required to bring your Maxima to life.

Dual zone air-conditioning

Dual zone automatic climate control air-conditioning on all models allows both driver and front passenger to control their own temperature and fan speed for added convenience and comfort.

Satellite Navigation

The Maxima 350 Ti features DVD Satellite Navigation with 3D mapping and 7" integrated colour display. This allows you to set your destination and be directed via the best path. This system also features the convenience of a touch screen and steering wheel mounted controls.

Reversing camera

When the 350 Ti Maxima is put into reverse, a rear view camera is activated, allowing you to see what is behind. When turning whilst reversing, this system provides a predicted path that the particular angle of the turn you are making will lead you to.

Reversing sensors

The 350 ST-S features reversing sensors, which incorporates four body coloured ultrasonic sensors that are fitted to the rear bumper. The sensors calculate then relay information to the driver through a series of audible beeps when reversing to inform you how close you are to other objects. The closer you get to the rear object the more the system will beep to warn you.

Bluetooth®

Controlled from the steering wheel controls, Bluetooth® handsfree phone system allows your mobile phone to be connected to the 350 Ti Maxima via a Bluetooth® connection. When a call comes in, the audio is muted and a call can be answered and ended via the steering wheel controls. Numbers can be pre-programmed into the system as well, which is again controlled via the steering wheel.

DVD player

When the Maxima 350 Ti is stationary, you can play a DVD through the DVD player located in the glove box. Sit back and enjoy a DVD on the front centre console colour screen and listen through the full Dolby® 5.1 surround sound system and your 11 speaker BOSE® audio system.

Electric front seats

For maximum comfort, all Maxima models feature 8-way driver's electric seat adjustment and 4-way front passenger electric seat adjustment.

Heated front seats

Individual driver and front passenger seats on the 350 ST-S and 350 Ti models can be heated when required.

Driver's seating memory

Avoid having to find your perfect seating position every time. The 350 Ti Maxima allows up to two drivers to pre-program their ideal seating configuration, all at the push of a button.

6 CD auto-changer

Maxima features a 6 CD in-dash auto-changer with AM/FM radio and MP3/WMA capability.

BOSE® audio system

The Maxima 350 Ti features one of the top brands in audio, BOSE®, which adds a further touch of class to the interior. The BOSE® audio system will fill the cabin through 11 speakers including 2 woofers.

Auxiliary MP3 player input

Connect your MP3 player to the Maxima and enjoy your choice of music. The 250 ST-L and 350 ST-S input is located on the front dash, the 350 Ti input is located as part of the video input jack in the front centre console.

Video input jack

For use as either an auxiliary MP3 player input or video input, the Maxima 350 Ti's video input jack, located in the front centre console allows you to enhance your entertainment experience as you wish.

Leather steering wheel

The luxurious leather interior is enhanced by the leather bound steering wheel and shift lever on all Maxima models.

Steering wheel controls

Steering wheel mounted controls for audio, cruise control and Satellite Navigation (on 350 Ti only) mean your hands never need to leave the steering wheel. The Bluetooth® controls on the 350 Ti model are also included within the steering wheel, so when a call comes in, or you want to make an outgoing call, your hands again, don't need to leave the steering wheel

Illuminated dials

Stylishly illuminated dials light up when you push the start button for better visibility of the dials when driving. The drive computer in the Maxima features average speed, timer, distance to empty, average and current fuel consumption and outside temperature.

A Design to be Admired.

The Nissan Maxima offers a new experience. An experience that starts before you even climb inside. The Maxima's flowing, aerodynamic lines can barely conceal the potent sense of purpose beneath. Although far from ostentatious, the 17" sports alloy wheels, Xenon headlights and rear spoiler (350 ST-S and 350 Ti models) suggest it could be a mistake to underestimate this car. 17" alloy wheels

The 17" alloy wheels frame the Maxima's stylish appearance. A perfect combination of power and luxury, the design expresses the Maxima's stylish looks at rest and in motion.

Intelligent Key

The Intelligent Key automatically unlocks your Maxima without you having to fish it out of your bag or pocket. Once inside, the Maxima can be started at the push of a button.

Door mirror indicators

The door mirrors of the Maxima feature stylishly integrated indicator lights.

Xenon headlights

the sharp white light produced by high intensity discharge bulbs offer outstanding illumination at night and in poor visibility conditions. The Maxima also features headlight washers for quick and easy cleaning of headlights when required.

LED taillights

Stylish LED taillights improve visibility and safety in all weather with faster and brighter illumination.

Sunroof

Warm spring sunlight or cool summer shade? Both are just one touch away in the Nissan Maxima 350 Ti.

Rear spoiler

The sporty rear spoiler ads a touch of class to the exterior of the 350 ST-S and 350 Ti models.

Auto sensing headlights

Headlights automatically turn on for dusk/night time driving or while driving through tunnels and are off at other times when not required.

Folding door mirrors

The door mirrors of the Maxima feature a convenient electric folding function, activated via the touch of a button in the interior.

Front fog lights

Front fog lights help cut glare and illuminate the road in fog or mist, whilst adding to the flowing design of the Maxima.

Rear fog light

The rear fog light improves rear visibility of the Maxima in fog or mist for added safety.

Refined Performance

The Nissan Maxima comes with a choice of two engines - a 2.5 litre V6 engine or the famous 3.5 litre V6 engine, which is the next generation of Nissan's legendary VQ engine series; the most awarded V6 engine series in history. Combine this with the Maxima's Xtronic CVT transmission and many other performance enhancements and the Maxima will Shift_the way you move.

2.5 litre VQ25DE engine

The Maxima 250 ST-L features the 2.5 litre VQ25DE engine, which outputs 134kW of power and 228Nm of torque, offering you the best of both worlds - the energetic responsiveness of a V6 with the fuel economy of a 4 cylinder. It's an engine that will definitely save you at the bowser without compromising on performance.

3.5 litre VQ35DE V6 engine

Becoming a legendary part of our DNA is the Nissan V6 engine series, known as the VQ series. This engine series has been named on the 10 Best Engines list by Ward's Automotive Group for 14 years in a row (1995 - 2008), meaning it is the most awarded V6 engine series in history. The Maxima's VQ35DE V6 engine, featured on the 350 ST-S and 350 Ti models is the latest generation of the VQ35 engine series and outputs 185kW of power and 326Nm of torque for exceptional performance.

CVT Transmission

The Maxima's Xtronic Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) is a computer controlled 'stepless' transmission providing a virtually limitless number of ratios, ensuring the engine is always working as efficiently as possible. It's more comfortable too: a long uphill drive in a conventional automatic will invariably be accompanied by regular down shifts as the engine hunts for power. With CVT, the engine revs stay constant as the transmission itself adjusts seamlessly to ensure momentum is maintained. For a more sporty drive, the CVT system has Manual Mode (M-Mode), which is operated via the central gear stick, 6 set ratios can be accessed manually by nudging the lever forward or back.

DOHC

Both engines feature a double overhead cam, which is characterised by two camshafts located within the cylinder head, one operating the inlet valves and one operating the exhaust valves.

Fuel economy

The 2.5 litre 250 ST-L engine offers you the best of both worlds - the energetic responsiveness of a V6 with the fuel economy of a 4 cylinder. With a rated fuel consumption of just 9.5* litres per 100km, it's an engine that will definitely save you at the bowser without compromising on performance. The latest geneartion 3.5 litre 350 ST-S and 350 Ti engine delivers impressive levels of performance, offering even more power and better fuel economy than ever before, with a rated fuel consumption of just 10.2* litres per 100km (*figures have been calculated in accordance with ADR81/01. Actual fuel consumption will vary depending on driving conditions, driver behaviour, the condition of your vehicle and the accessories fitted).

Power steering

The Maxima's speed sensitive power steering allows the steering to feel firmer during high speed driving and fingertip light during low speed driving for better manoeuvrability e.g. whilst parking.

New platform

The Maxima is built on a new platform, which greatly improves handling, ride comfort, Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) levels, suspension and overall safety.

New suspension

The new Independent front suspension and Multi-link independent rear suspension setup means the Maxima will be exceptionally responsive to driver steering inputs, resulting in an overall driving experience that will leave you very impressed.

Safety

Safety Without Compromise

Of course a major part of being comfortable in a car is the knowledge that you're protected. So the Nissan Maxima also comes with an abundance of safety features, which are all standard across the range.

Vehicle Dynamic Control

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), also known as Electronic Stability Program, is an advanced standard safety feature, which helps you remain in control of your vehicle during critical situations to avoid serious accidents. The VDC system achieves this by comparing the actions of the driver with the momentary vehicle behaviour and controls the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control Systems (TCS) accordingly, to initiate the appropriate corrective action by selectively braking individual wheels and controlling engine power. This stabilises the vehicle and keeps it on its intended path.

Traction Control System

The Traction Control System (TCS) limits tyre slip for safer driving. When the system senses one wheel is spinning faster than the others, it automatically reduces engine power and pumps that wheel's brake to reduce speed and lessen slip.

Anti-lock Braking System

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you retain directional control whilst braking. It optimises braking performance by sensing wheel lock and sending a signal to the braking system to release the locked wheel. As the wheel unlocks, it can be steered. The system individually applies and releases the brakes to help provide optimum stopping and control under extreme braking situations.

Brake Assist

In emergency braking situations, Brake Assist (BA) generates extra pressure on the braking system. Brake Assist and ABS work together to give optimum control by preventing wheel lockage when braking.

Brakeforce Distribution

Senses the load condition of both passengers and luggage to optimise rear brakeforce and control front and rear brake distribution. This enables safer driving, whether on your own or while carrying a full load of passengers or cargo.

Dual front airbags

Reduces the risk of facial and upper body injuries to the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision. The airbags are designed to remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection.

Dual side airbags

Side airbags are deployed in the event of a side impact to protect the driver and passenger.

Dual curtain airbags

Furthermore, roof mounted curtain side impact supplemental airbags drop down in the event of a side impact for added head protection of passengers.

Seatbelt pretensioners

The front seatbelts include a pretensioner and load limiter. The pretensioner uses sensors to determine the severity of a potential crash and instantly tightens accordingly. Should additional force be exerted on the seatbelt, the load limiter ensures appropriate give so as to reduce any damaging pressure on the torso of front seat occupants.

Active head restraints

Provide additional neck protection for front seat passengers against serious injury from the effects of whiplash in the event of a rear collision.

Four disc brakes

Heat is dissipated more rapidly to improve braking action, promote less brake fade and enhance brake life.

Crumple zones

he front of the Maxima features a crumple zone, which helps absorb impacts. The energy-absorbing interior steering column compresses during frontal impacts to improve occupant safety significantly. The rear, inbuilt crumple zone furthermore helps absorb impact and reduce the risk of injury.

Side intrusion bars

Robust door reinforcements and an anti-intrusion door structure mean impact energy is distributed to the body side structures in the event of an accident.

Child safety

Three child seat anchorage points add greater seating flexibility, depending on your particular needs. Child safety rear door locks also prevent children from accidentally opening the rear doors.
